Inclusion Assistance for Students

Do you have a disability or chronic illness? Do you think you need support with organization and communication in your studies and everyday university life?

For this occasion H-BRS offers students support through an inclusion assistance.

After the project was successfully launched in the winter semester 2021/22 for students with autism in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism (EMT), the inclusion assistance is now available to all students with different physical or mental conditions at H-BRS. With this project, H-BRS aims to provide additional support to its students as well as draw further attention to the specifics of studying with a disability or chronic illness.

The inclusion assistance is part of our Respekt! Inklusiv format of the initiative "Respekt! Time for diversity, time for sustainability".

The Inclusion Assistance for students provides:

General support with organization and management of everyday study life
Support in organising learning units and structure of learning
Support with communication in everyday university life

The project "Inclusion Assistance" is managed by the Diversity Management Team, in cooperation with the Health and Disability Commissioner.

The offer is free of charge and non-binding. Interested students can contact inklusionsassistenz@h-brs.de directly via email.

Counselling can be provided in German and English. In order to enable individual counselling, please coordinate an appointment by e-mail. Consultations take place during normal office hours. Please cancel appointments in advance if you are unable to attend.

The Coordinator for Inclusive University Katrin Maag, is available to answer any questions.

Further support for the inclusion of students is provided by the Health and Disability Commissioner.
