TALENT - Talent Attraction and Lifelong Empowerment for New Technologies

Attention international students!

TALENT supports international prospective students interested in the field of artificial intelligence, from their first contact with H-BRS through to a successful start in a master’s or PhD programme, and ultimately towards an academic and professional career in Germany.

What is TALENT?

The H-BRS “TALENT” project is a collaboration between the International Office, the Department of Computer Science, and the Graduate Institute at H-BRS.

Its aim is to attract international top talent, particularly from countries such as India, Mexico, Cameroon, and Vietnam, to pursue a master’s degree or a PhD at H-BRS, engage them at an early stage, and support their long-term integration into academia and the labour market.

At the heart of TALENT is the development of a “Talent Track Practice Pipeline” that connects three key phases:

Recruiting: Identifying international talent and attracting them to H-BRS for master´s and PhD programmes.
Onboarding and Integration: Facilitating a successful transition to H-BRS and providing academic and social support throughout the integration process.
Career: Providing opportunities for qualification and networking while creating long term career prospects in academia and industry.

Who is TALENT for?

TALENT is aimed at highly qualified international students and early-career researchers who are interested in studying, conducting research, and building their future in Germany in the field of AI and related technologies. Our program supports international students before, during, and after their master’s and doctoral studies, providing academic, personal, and professional support throughout their journey.

International Master’s Students:
Students who are interested in pursuing a master’s degree at H-BRS and developing their academic and professional profiles in future-oriented technology fields.

International Doctoral Students:
Early-career researchers who are interested in pursuing a PhD and becoming part of the research community at H-BRS.

Your Journey:

Your journey with us follows a clear pipeline: from your first encounter with H-BRS, through your entry, to your personal and professional development. TALENT supports you throughout three key phases, each building on the one before. Each phase combines a range of activities and support opportunities, including summer schools, workshops, and professional development programs, as well as support for publications and matchmaking opportunities to connect with potential employers.
