Department of Management Sciences

Components of the Certificate

At least three of the four modules mentioned must have been taken or successfully completed in order to obtain the certificate.
Study semester or internship abroad

Business Management programme, Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin campus (B.Sc.) and Business Psychology programme (B.Sc.), Rheinbach campus:

During their studies, students can complete an internship abroad or a study semester at a foreign university instead of an internship semester in Germany. As part of the certificate, the compulsory internship (abroad) worth 30 ECTS credits or alternatively the study semester abroad worth at least 18 ECTS credits is recognised. A voluntary, additional practical semester abroad can also be recognised as part of the certificate if the practical work has been carried out full-time for at least 20 weeks.

Language competence

Business Management programme, Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin campus (B.Sc.) and Business Psychology programme (B.Sc.), Rheinbach campus:

In order to obtain the certificate, students on the Business Management degree programme must acquire knowledge of a further foreign language (in addition to the foreign business language that is already compulsory and recognised in the curriculum). Proof is provided if further language skills have been achieved by attending courses worth at least 5 ECTS credits in another foreign language (or at least 6 ECTS credits as part of the supplementary study programme; Business Management degree programme, Bachelor's examination regulations 2016 and 2021). The respective number of ECTS credits must therefore be earned in one foreign language, but can be obtained through several courses, which must build on each other in terms of level.
Proof of additional language proficiency is provided by the corresponding proof of examination performance on the transcript of records or a certificate from the Language Centre of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.

Intercultural training

Business Management programme, Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin campus (B.Sc.) and Business Psychology programme (B.Sc.), Rheinbach campus:

Intercultural training can be provided, for example, by taking electives such as "Business Behaviour" (Sankt Augustin campus). The supplementary or elective subjects offered as part of the Digital International General Studies programme can be recognised. The successful completion of practical projects with intercultural relevance can also be recognised as intercultural training. Furthermore, successful attendance of the specialisation "International Management" can be recognised as proof of intercultural training.

Proof is provided if students have successfully completed intercultural courses or practical projects totalling at least 3 credit points.

International commitment at the university (Study-Buddy)

Business Management programme, Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin campus (B.Sc.) and Business Psychology programme (B.Sc.), Rheinbach campus:

The international commitment of students is demonstrated by the fact that they have become a "Study Buddy" at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Proof of this must be issued and submitted by the International Office of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.

The information given here also applies to students of the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Psychology according to the Bachelor's examination regulations 2017 and 2021.
