About the Language Centre

The Language Centre is a key facility of Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg. It works in close cooperation with all the departments, offering tailor-made courses designed to suit their individual requirements.

Our Profile

At present the Language Centre offers general and subject-specific courses in twelve languages, which are held by qualified and experienced teachers (mainly native speakers). We extend our range of courses according to the students' individual requirements and needs. Furthermore, we provide courses in Intercultural Communication and additional soft skills as well as language testing in English and in German as a Foreign Language.

However, the staff employed by the Language Centre do not only use their linguistic and cultural competence for language teaching. Further services provided to students include the assessment and certification of foreign language skills, writing workshops and coaching in German and English as well as the individual supervision of students who are preparing for a semester or internship abroad.

Faculty, Staff and Casual Staff of the Language Centre

The 20 faculty and staff members employed at the Language Centre are responsible for the development and coordination of the courses and examinations provided, for foreign language tuition, technical administration as well as IT administration on both the Sankt Augustin and Rheinbach campus.

In order to offer our wide range of language courses, the Language Centre's teaching staff are supported by casual staff.
