Technology Transfer and Acceptance - Equipment

In the research field of Technology Transfer and Acceptance, the acceptance of new technologies is investigated through the analysis of journalistic quality media, surveys of focus groups as well as individual interviews and group discussions.

The laboratory is currently still under construction. The following equipment is already available:

  • Meeting room for up to 8 participants
  • various whiteboards and flipcharts
  • several workstations with double-screen equipment
  • Software packages MAXQDA, MSOffice

Furthermore, the following additional equipment for the laboratory is planned:

  • SPSS license for the evaluation of complex statistics
  • Equipment for e.g. observations in the context of group discussions with special recording systems or surveys using tablets
  • Equipment for studies on the usability research of media
  • Equipment for investigations of the reception of digital media content such as camera systems and eye tracking software

On the basis of the analyses, indications about the acceptance of new technologies in society can be extracted and, if necessary, new communication strategies for confidence-building measures can be derived.
