Support for start-ups from the university

The ZWT supports scientists, students and graduates of the university in their step into self-employment and in applying for suitable funding.

EXIST Start-Up Grant
The funding program of the BMWi supports scientists, students and graduates from universities who want to realize their start-up idea and implement it in a business plan. The start-up projects should be innovative technology-oriented or knowledge-based projects with significant unique selling points and good economic prospects. A mentor from the university provides professional support for the start-up project. The funding period is one year; applications can be submitted at any time.

Start-up Transfer.NRW

The START-UP transfer.NRW program is intended to support university graduates, who have generally graduated no more than three years ago, and university scientists in taking their first step towards entrepreneurial independence.

Funding of up to 240,000 euros can be applied for for projects with a maximum funding period of 18 months.

TheBusinessCampus Rhein-Sieg GmbH at the university locations in Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin offers the possibility of renting inexpensive office space for the start-up phase of start-ups from the university.
