Roman Grimmig- Doctorate for research in the field of water analysis
Roman Grimmig is a graduate of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) and successfully defended his doctoral examination on 30.09.2024 with the topic ‘Characterisation of a PEM electrolyzer for ozone generation in ultrapure and drinking water applications’ at the University of Bonn. Congratulations to him!

Exkursion der Studierwerkstatt: Gemeinsam für die Prüfungen fit werden
Ende August nahmen 24 Studierende des Fachbereichs Ingenieurwissenschaften und Kommunikation der H-BRS an einer dreitätigen Lernexkursion in der Jugendherberge Bad Münstereifel teil. Organisiert durch die Studierwerkstatt konnten sich die Teilnehmenden intensiv auf die Prüfungen vorbereiten und den Gemeinschaftssinn stärken.

Soldering a game of skill themselves. Pupils of three classes of year 9 from Anno-Gymnasium Siegburg soldered obstacle courses with great enthusiasm during their project week at the Department of Natural Sciences in September under the guidance of Anja Burghammer.

On 13 and 14 November 2024, the Company Day will take place for the 23rd time on the Sankt Augustin Campus from 10 am to 4 pm. With over 150 exhibitors, the Company Day is the largest career fair in the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg district.

From algorithm to virtual AI avatar - how generative AI and AR change teaching and learning spaces
As part of the scholarship programme for high- performing MINT students (‘MINT TANK’), the Hans Riegel Foundation organises a congress every two years with an exciting and interdisciplinary programme. On 21 September 2024, H-BRS researchers Daryoush Vaziri, David Golchinfar and Alexander Marquardt gave a workshop at this congress in Brühl near Cologne on the topic of ‘From algorithm to virtual AI avatar - how generative AI and augmented realities are changing teaching and learning spaces’.

PeP@H-BRS organises workshop at the FH-Personal strategy workshop
The PeP@H-BRS project took part in the third strategy workshop of the federal-state programme "UAS Personnel" on 12 and 13 September 2024. Sylvia Müller and Marlene Nunnendorf led a workshop on tandem programmes that support postdocs on the path to a UAS professorship. The project is led by Prof Dr Remi Maier-Rigaud.
