About CENTIM

We take entrepreneurship personally.

At CENTIM - Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and SMEs - entrepreneurial thinking and action are at the heart of everything we do: in start-ups, innovations, business succession, and in our collaboration with small businesses. The focus is always on people with ideas, questions, and plans, and on supporting them on their journey. We support students, researchers, employees, and alumni who want to become entrepreneurially active – whether with a start-up idea, in a team, or in an existing company. At the same time, we conduct research on current topics related to innovation and SMEs and bring academia and practice together in dialogue.

What we do

We support people who want to make a difference with personal advice, tailored formats, and an open ear. We focus on exchange on an equal footing, not on standard solutions. Our services are practical, straightforward, and low-threshold.

Whether it's start-ups, innovation, or succession: we combine scientific know-how with practical experience and help you take the next step. Clearly structured, without a lot of fuss, but with a plan.

What is important to us

We don't think of entrepreneurship as purely an economic activity, but as an opportunity to help shape society. We are not only interested in quick ideas, but above all in those that have a long-term impact: socially, technically, regionally.

Innovation & Transfer: We link academia and practice, research and application.
SMEs & Succession: We strengthen SMEs with expertise, networking, and concrete support.
Science Communication: With the Competence Center Innovation Communication (CINCO), we make ideas visible and understandable.

At CENTIM we are an interdisciplinary team with diverse backgrounds. We are united by our interest in innovation and in supporting people on their journey. Our work is research-based and we enjoy exchange, idea development, and teamwork.

We work closely with partners in the region, such as DIGITALHUB.DE and the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Through these networks, we bring knowledge and innovation to society – and create connections that carry ideas forward.
