Programme content and qualification objective
Course structure
The degree programme includes the subjects Business Management, Business Law as well as Quantitative Methods, Economics and Business Informatics. Depending on their interests, students choose two preferred specialisations that will specifically qualify them for their future career choice.
As an intensive practical focus and an international orientation are very important to us, our degree programme comprises seven semesters, including the Bachelor's thesis and the internship semester in Germany or abroad in the sixth semester or a semester abroad.
Prospects and job opportunities
After graduation, graduates enter the workforce directly at a company or start their own business.
Alternatively, a Master's degree programme at H-BRS offers the opportunity to deepen and meaningfully expand the knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's degree programme and, if applicable, in professional practice. We offer advanced Master's programmes in Marketing, Controlling and Management and Innovation and Information Management (expected to be renamed IT Management in summer semester 26).
Practical relevance and teaching formats
Practical experience is very important to us: The practical semester integrated into the 6th semester offers the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during your studies directly in practice and to get to know a potential future employer in person. The internship semester can be completed in a company in Germany or abroad or can be replaced by a study semester abroad. In the case of a longer stay abroad, students can obtain a degree from a foreign university. Students take part in practical projects under the guidance of lecturers to solve business management issues
Study location and learning environment
We offer our Business Management degree programme at both the Sankt Augustin campus and the Rheinbach campus, each as an independent degree programme. At our campuses in Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin, students can expect a lively campus life with excellent learning opportunities and a strong community. There are orientation and welcome events as well as a first semester trip. The student council organises numerous events such as the annual football tournament, barbecues and Christmas events - perfect opportunities to experience the campus spirit and get to know other students.
„I am fascinated by business contexts and I appreciate the direct practical relevance of the degree programme. The flexibility that results from the later selection of specialisations allows me to concentrate on a specific area. As a member of the student council, I enthusiastically organise events for students, act as a link between fellow students and lecturers and establish valuable networks that extend beyond the semester.”
