Cooperation opportunities with the University of New Brunswick, Canada
On 21 September 2023, Prof. Dr. John Kershaw, Associate Vice President Academic (Partnerships), Dave Andrews, Coordinator Global Academic Programs, and Rhonda Bourque, Assistant and Manager of Partnership Processes, from the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada, visited the Sankt Augustin campus. They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Marco Winzker, Vice President for Studies, Teaching and Further Education, and Sally Brammer and Janina-Domenica Wörmann, Partnership Coordinators in the International Office.

Intercultural Activities for Refugees Participating in the Language Courses of The International Office during the Summer Semester.
During the summer semester 2023, the International Office of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences hosted two intensive German language courses, B1 and B2. 24 refugees from the region took classes from Monday to Thursday in preparation of their studies at the University. Participants in the courses also took part in extra-curriculum activities, mainly aiming to introduce the German culture to the new comers.

Highlights vom IVC Strategiemeeting
Das Institut für Visual Computing (IVC) der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) hat erfolgreich sein jährliches Strategiemeeting vom 6. bis 7. September 2023 im Haus Schlesien in Königswinter abgehalten. Das Treffen versammelte fast 30 Teilnehmer, darunter die Kanzlerin der H-BRS, der Dekan des Fachbereichs Informatik, Professoren und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter des IVC. Die Agenda war gefüllt mit spannenden Diskussionen und inspirierenden Impulsvorträgen.
