Business trip to Japan: H-BRS strengthens international university cooperation
Eileen Küpper from the Language Centre at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences travelled to Tokyo, Hiroshima and Osaka from 31 October to 9 November 2025. The purpose of the trip was to attend the 51st JALT International Conference and hold talks at several Japanese universities. The aim was to exchange ideas on innovative language teaching, expand the international network and initiate new collaborations.

The research paper A Study of Performance and Interaction Patterns in Hand and Tangible Interaction in Tabletop Mixed Reality was awarded a Best Paper – Honorable Mention Award at the renowned ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) in Montreal, Canada.

Einladung nach China: Prof. André Hinkenjann als Program Co-Chair der ICXR 2025
Auf Einladung der ICXR 2025 reiste André Hinkenjann nach China. Neben seiner Rolle als Program Co Chair der Konferenz führte die Reise zu weiteren Universitäten in Peking, Hangzhou und Shanghai und bot Gelegenheit zu wissenschaftlichem Austausch und Vorträgen.

Neue Folgen des Podcasts Green Campus online: Fairtrade und Foodwaste
Innerhalb der Lehrveranstaltung "Green Campus – Gemeinsam für eine nachhaltige, klimaresiliente und lebenswerte Hochschule" ist ein Podcast entstanden. 11 Studierende der Studiengänge Betriebswirtschaft, Technikjournalismus und Nachhaltige Sozialpolitik haben einen Podcast zu Nachhaltigkeitsthemen für den Campus entwickelt. Die erste Folge wurde letztes Semester veröffentlicht. Nun sind zwei weitere Folgen online.

Successful visit by the University of New Brunswick (UNB) to H-BRS
From 10 to 13 November, we welcomed a delegation from our Canadian partner university UNB to H-BRS. Led by Vice-Provost Prof. Dr. Van Lantz, colleagues from teaching, research, administration and the PhD programme travelled to Germany to deepen our cooperation and explore new potential for future collaboration. The visit took place as part of the DAAD-funded STREAM (Strengthening Ties in Research, Education and Academic Mobility) project, with the aim of expanding the existing partnership and establishing a long-term strategic partnership.
