The shortage of skilled labour is noticeable in many sectors and has been an ongoing political issue for several years. Due to demographic trends, companies and organisations are unable to meet their demand for qualified personnel with sufficient domestic staff. Accordingly, many municipalities are committed to improving the labour market integration of people with a refugee background. Employers are also resorting to the recruitment of foreign skilled workers and trainees.
