Professorship for Argang Ghadiri at Apollon University for Health Care Management
Argang Ghadiri, an alumnus and research associate at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, took up a professorship at the Apollon University for Health Care Management University of Applied Sciences at the end of 2023.

Zwei erfolgreiche Promotionen aus der AG Polymere in Kooperation mit der Universität Zlin (CZ)
Michael Meurer und Juliana Azevedo aus der Arbeitsgruppe Polymere am Fachbereich Angewandte Naturwissenschaften haben am 31.1.24 erfolgreich ihre Dissertationen verteidigt. Die Prüfung fand an der Partenruniversität in Zlin (Tschechien) statt, die seit Jahren erfolgreich mit der H-BRS kooperiert.

Improving concentration in the classroom with a self-built ventilation system
Better air quality for more productive work and increased concentration: last summer semester, students from the Department of Engineering and Communication (IWK) built ventilation systems and installed them in classrooms at two schools in Sankt Augustin. A new team carried out measurements during this year's project week and presented the pupils at Fritz Bauer Comprehensive School with the optimum ventilation concept for their classroom.

VDI Sponsorship Award 2024: 1st place for Ahmed Faisal Abdelrahman
Based on the way the brain works, Abdelrahman's research (at H-BRS in the Master's degree programme in Autonomous Systems) is looking for an approach that aims to improve the learning ability and adaptability of robots by enabling them to move safely in unstructured environments.
