Prof Dr Javad Ghofrani takes over as head of the A2S Institute
On 1 March 2025, Prof. Dr Teena Hassan took up the post of Vice President for International Affairs and Digitalisation at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. In this context, she handed over the management of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems (A2S). The new head of the institute is Prof. Dr Javad Ghofrani, who was only appointed to the Department of Computer Science in March 2025 as Professor of Computer Science with a focus on Autonomous Systems in the international Master's degree programme Autonomous Systems.

Der Fachbereich Informatik stellt das Anmeldeverfahren für die Master-Abschlussarbeiten in den Studiengängen Master Informatik (MI) sowie Master Cyber Security & Privacy (MCSP) um. Ab dem 1. Mai 2025 erfolgt die Anmeldung zur Abschlussarbeit vollständig digital über das ISS-Portal.

Visit from UESD Ghana strengthens Collaboration with IZNE
As part of the INTERFACES project, a delegation from the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) in Ghana recently visited the International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE). Both institutions are jointly developing an e-certificate program on “Research and Innovation for Sustainable Land Management in Africa.” The main objective of the visit was to deepen the existing collaboration and explore new opportunities for future joint initiatives.

Successful application: EXIST start-up grant for start-up supported by H-BRS
