Strengthening our international relations in Canada
A nine-member delegation from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, led by our President Marion Halfmann, visited our long-standing partner University of New Brunswick in Canada for five days. The trip took place as part of the DAAD HAW International-funded STREAM (Strengthening Ties in Research, Education and Academic Mobility) project. The clear goal: to expand and deepen the partnership and pave the way for a strategic partnership.

From idea to concept: Second AWAKE cohort successfully completes program
After six months full of ideas, courage and entrepreneurial spirit, the participants of the EXIST Women programme AWAKE 2 presented their start-up ideas at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. At the celebratory closing event in Bonn, they showed how initial ideas turned into concrete business models, supported by mentoring, workshops and a strong network.

Stefan Freitag: Consciously experiencing the world on two wheels
Whether racing or cargo bike, shopping or on a family holiday: when Stefan Freitag is out and about, he prefers to do so by bike. At the same time, as a teacher and degree programme coordinator, he pursues the goal of not only educating students professionally, but also empowering them to participate in society. He has been combining these two passions with the Tour de CSR since 2019.
