First days at H-BRS - First semester information winter semester 2025/26
On the overview page of the Student Advice Centre you will find information about the semester ticket and student ID, the dates for the first semester welcome events for the degree programmes, preparatory courses and much more.
At the beginning of the new academic year, we warmly welcome the first-semester students to our university on Monday, 29 September 2025 at Sankt Augustin Campus. The Market of Opportunities will take place in Hochschulstraße before and after the central first semester welcome.
Successful completion of one or more language courses is mandatory for our Bachelor's degree programmes. As this usually involves an English course, a placement test in English must be taken at the start of the programme.
In the library, students will find an extensive and informative media collection, in digital or printed form. A dedicated team helps them to find information for their assignments and projects. In addition, the library offers workshops and training courses on numerous topics.
Email, SIS, LEA and WLAN
After self-registration via the MIA portal, new students can access the central email server for students and find out their department code for logging into the student information system SIS and the e-learning system LEA.
