H-BRS
Science is inconceivable without international networking and intercultural competences. We strive for excellence through international networking in teaching, research, transfer and governance. We enable students to acquire international competencies. We support scientists in building and maintaining international networks, and we welcome researchers and teachers from abroad. Staff members benefit from exchanges with colleagues from partner institutions abroad. We are happy to cooperate with internationally oriented companies.

Support for those affected by the war in Ukraine

The H-BRS is continuing the cooperation projects with the partner university Chernihiv Polytechnic National University under the framework conditions that are currently possible. We have set up an emergency fund Ukraine with which refugee students can receive support from us. We are also supporting the reconstruction of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. We have set up a donation account through which you can contribute to making study and research possible again.

H-BRS receives DAAD funding under the “Academic Horizons – Attracting Global Minds” programme

H-BRS is one of 20 higher education institutions receiving funding under the “Academic Horizons – Attracting Global Minds” programme run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This programme is part of the 1000-Köpfe-Plus initiative and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). The university has secured around €750,000 for the project “TALENT – Talent Attraction and Lifelong Empowerment for New Technologies” (May 2026 - end of 2029), which is being implemented by the Department of Computer Science, the Graduate School and the International Office.
