Diving Into Your Studies: the Freshers' Programme of the Student Advice Centre
A successful start to studies requires time, a little practice and some knowledge. This is exactly where the Student Advice Centre's freshers' programme comes in. With ‘Diving Into Your Studies’, first-semester students are offered individual support in the still unfamiliar everyday life of studying.

Das IVC der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg war beim 6. EdTech Meetup Cologne in Köln vertreten und zeigte, wie XR, Künstliche Intelligenz und Gamification die berufliche Bildung und Weiterbildung verändern können. Mit einem Fachvortrag von Prof. Dr. André Hinkenjann und interaktiven Demonstrationen gab das Institut Einblicke in aktuelle Forschung und praxisnahe Anwendungsszenarien für innovative Lern und Trainingsformate.

30 Years of the Department of Computer Science – Anniversary Celebrations with a Focus on AI
A packed programme on 12 June: The Department of Computer Science at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences celebrated its 30th anniversary on 12 June 2026 with an alumni breakfast, specialist lectures on artificial intelligence, a ‘student university’, a ceremony featuring inaugural lectures and a panel discussion, and a summer party. Under the motto “AI – quo vadis?”, alumni, students, researchers and industry representatives discussed current developments, challenges and future prospects for AI – whilst also looking back on three decades of computer science at H-BRS.
