"Be patient, brave and stubborn" - Career advice from international alumni
Amidst an festive Advent atmosphere, eight alumni with international backgrounds shared their experiences with international students at H-BRS on Monday. Their tips covered job applications, starting in the new job, German language, and a mindset that makes living and working in Germany easier.

On the future of social protection systems: New reference book "Global Social Protection" published
Professor Katja Bender from the International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE) at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has published a new book on Global Social Protection together with Professor Markus Kaltenborn from Ruhr University Bochum. "Global Social Protection" provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary overview of how institutional structures shape social protection systems worldwide and why transformation processes in low- and middle-income countries in particular are crucial for strengthening social rights.

reTURN project meeting at Caphenia: Tour of the renewable fuel reactor
In November, a project meeting on the research project "reTURN - Recycling organic residues and CO2 into fuels" took place at our cooperation partner CAPHENIA in Frankfurt am Main. The International Centre for Sustainable Development (IZNE) at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) is working with Prof Dr Stefanie Meilinger on the life cycle assessment of the sustainable fuel.
