Ringvorlesung Digitalisierung in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft
Am 22.05.2023 findet der erste Vortrag des Sommersemesters 23 über das Thema "Society 5.0/Needs/Humability" im Rahmen der Ringvorlesung Digitalisierung in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft in Raum E 146, Campus Sankt Augustin statt (Referentin: Prof. Dr. Britta Essing).

Der Klimawandel aus kinderrechtlicher Perspektive in der Ringvorlesung "gemeinsam nachhaltig"
Am 10. Mai fand die erste Ringvorlesung aus der Reihe "gemeinam nachhaltig" statt. Professorin Kerstin Rosenow-Williams (H-BRS) und Professor Frieters-Reermann (katho NRW) sprachen zum Klimawandel aus kinderrechtlicher Perspektive und zu den Themen Klimagerechtigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit.

Best Paper Award for Professor Irene Rothe and Andrè Kless at the International IEEE EDUCOM 2023
May 1 - May 4, 2023 American University of Kuwait Salmiya, Kuwait - At this year's IEEE EDUCON 2023, Prof. Dr Irene Rothe from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism (H-BRS) and André Kless, Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science (H-BRS), together secured the Best Paper Award in the category "Infrastructure and Technologies for Engineering Education".

Delegation visits partner university in Jordan
A delegation from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is travelling to Jordan. Between 18 and 23 March, representatives of the President's Office and the departments will visit the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman, with which the H-BRS has been cooperating for years.

How can AR and VR be used to design the learning worlds of the future?
In the workshop on the ARVR.nrw project on the topic of "Open authoring tools for collaborative virtual learning environments", the consortium around Dr Jens Maiero (H-BRS) was able to impressively demonstrate in the showroom of the Institute for Visual Computing (IVC) at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) how AR/VR can be integrated into learning environments in the future.
