Electrical Engineering (BEng)

Electrical Engineering – Cooperative Study (BEng)

The cooperative bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng) combines the study of engineering and business training and leads to a vocational qualification and a university degree after four-and-a-half years.

Mechanical Engineering (BEng)

Applicants who select the bachelor's degree programme in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) at the H-BRS are choosing a practice-based course with modern technology and first-class studying conditions. For our future engineers, joint projects with industrial companies are a matter of course. With the option to study mechatronics and product development, the programme offers areas of specialism that are in high demand in business. From the car industry and the energy sector to plant construction and mechanical engineering, this forms the basis for success for many areas of industry.

Mechanical Engineering - Cooperative Study (BEng)

Do you want to change and improve the world as an engineer? Then the cooperative bachelor’s degree programme in Sustainable Engineering (BEng) is the right one for you. It combines electrical engineering and mechanical engineering and focuses on energy efficiency, regenerative energies and sustainability. As a cooperative degree, it combines studying with business training and leads to a vocational qualification and a university degree after four-and-a-half years.

Sustainable Engineering (BEng)

Do you want to change and improve the world as an engineer? The bachelor's degree programme in Sustainable Engineering (BEng), which combines mechanical engineering and electrical engineering with aspects of sustainability, offers a particular emphasis on renewable energies, energy efficiency and environmental technology. As well as a solid foundation course, modules such as measurement and regulation technology and thermodynamics provide an engineering background.

Technical Journalism (BSc)

Whether it’s digitization, the energy transition, or Industry 4.0, technology is changing society and has an enormous impact on our everyday lives. As a qualifying technical journalist, you learn to professionally process content using different channels: in word and image, via audio and video, or via blogs and social media. The range of topics covered by our bachelor’s degree programme in Technical Journalism (BSc) is broad, from issues relating to energy, the environment and mobility to media technology, games, virtual reality and IT.

Visual Technical Communication (BSc)

Whether it’s via computer, smartphone or digital assistance systems, when it comes to explaining and presenting the wide range of technical products available, communication experts with technical skills are needed. The use of videos, graphics and virtual reality is becoming increasingly important in this field. Our bachelor’s degree programme in Visual Technical Communication (BSc) is our response to this development. It is directed at anyone interested in on-screen design, communicating through animation and film and who want to tell exciting stories about all aspects of technology.

Master Programmes

Analysis and Design of Social Protection Systems (MA)

The international Master’s programme is aimed at students who wish to deal with social security systems and who are also interested in intercultural exchange. The on-campus and online phases provide students with the opportunity to develop an international network and connect with practitioners in the field of social protection.

Electrical Engineering (MEng)

The Master programme Electrical Engineering provides a deeper insight into various fields of electrical engineering and emphasis the aspect electronical system development. Students are also required to work independently on a current research topic.

In cooperation with the Universidad Nacional de San Luis (Argentinia) you can study a binational program and a obtain a double master degree.

International Media Studies (MA)

The bilingual Master’s programme in International Media Studies, which is offered in conjunction with the University of Bonn and the Deutsche Welle broadcasting station, integrates issues relating to media and development cooperation, on the one hand, with media management and communications science, on the other. Above and beyond this, the programme includes journalism and practical media-based projects.

Mechanical Engineering (MEng)

The Master’s programme in Mechanical Engineering deals with the interaction between mechanical, electronic and IT-disciplines. Students are also required to work independently on a current research topic.
