Electrical Engineering (BEng)

The study programme in Electrical Engineering provides students with broad expertise in automation and information technology and also fully equips them for a career as an electrical engineer. The studies are very practice-oriented and also deal with issues of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

Electrical Engineering – Cooperative Study (BEng)

The cooperative study programme in Electrical Engineering is a combination of a degree programme in electrical engineering and an apprenticeship. After a four-and-a-half-year period of study, students acquire a vocational qualification and a university degree. The programme consists of practical semesters and study semesters.

The study combines elements of electrical and mechanical engineering with various aspects of sustainability and puts its emphasis on renewable energy, power efficiency and environmental technology.

Technical Journalism/PR (BSc)

The study programme in Technical Journalism/PR combines training in journalism and public relations with expertise in the basics of engineering or environmental engineering. The programme provides students with the skills needed to effectively communicate on complex technological issues.

The degree programme Visual Technical Communication is the first programme of its kind in Germany. It is aimed at anyone who primarily wants to work with visual formats in technical journalism and in technical communication.

Master Programmes

Analysis and Design of Social Protection Systems (MA)

The international Master’s programme is aimed at students who wish to deal with social security systems and who are also interested in intercultural exchange. The on-campus and online phases provide students with the opportunity to develop an international network and connect with practitioners in the field of social protection.

Electrical Engineering (MEng)

The Master programme Electrical Engineering provides a deeper insight into various fields of electrical engineering and emphasis the aspect electronical system development. Students are also required to work independently on a current research topic.

In cooperation with the Universidad Nacional de San Luis (Argentinia) you can study a binational program and a obtain a double master degree.

International Media Studies (MA)

The bilingual Master’s programme in International Media Studies, which is offered in conjunction with the University of Bonn and the Deutsche Welle broadcasting station, integrates issues relating to media and development cooperation, on the one hand, with media management and communications science, on the other. Above and beyond this, the programme includes journalism and practical media-based projects.

Mechanical Engineering (MEng)

The Master’s programme in Mechanical Engineering deals with the interaction between mechanical, electronic and IT-disciplines.
