Die in Zusammenarbeit mit der UA Ruhr angebotene NFDI4ING-Praxisvorlesungsreihe „RDM-Grundlagen für Ingenieure“ bietet eine Einführung in das Forschungsdatenmanagement (RDM) in den Ingenieurwissenschaften.

Course description

The course combines basic concepts with practical examples and hands-on exercises. Participants will learn how good research data management practices can be integrated into research workflows from the very beginning. No prior knowledge of research data management is required.

Learning objectives:

Understand the fundamentals and engineering-specific challenges of Research Data Management (RDM).
Develop a basic Data Management Plan (DMP) and apply RDM best practices using RDMO.
Create structured metadata for research data.
Apply FAIR principles as well as basic verification and validation approaches to research software.
