Workshop "Supervision and Coaching of PhD students"

Description:

The workshop is aimed at professors of different departments of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University, who ideally already participated in the workshop "Supervision and Coaching of PhD students".

The aim is to clarify the role of PhD supervisor and to reflect on how this role can and should be realised individually.

Furthermore, the workshop is aimed at an extension of the repertoire of actions in the supervision of doctoral candidates by systemic solution-oriented coaching. Thereby coaching is at the same time learning subject and approach.

The following procedure is envisaged:

• Between technical and personal: the role of supervisors
• Coaching as a form of supervision concerning personal matters of PhD students
• "I've got a problem ": case collection, presentation, joint implementation of a coaching process
• How to fill the role of supervisor? Individual clarification with systemic solution-oriented coaching
