Science Year 2026: Medicine of the Future

Logo Gesundheit der Zukunft.png
How do diseases develop? How can diseases be recognised early or even prevented? How can we also understand rare diseases? What role will biomedical and technological developments, prevention, environmental factors and healthcare systems play in the medicine of tomorrow?

The Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is participating in the Science Year 2026 "Medicine of the Future" with research projects, events and initiatives. Medicine is deliberately understood in a broad sense - from molecular and biomedical processes to digital and technological applications to questions of prevention, the environment, care and social framework conditions.

The Year of Science is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education, Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Under the guiding theme of "Medicine of the Future", it brings together science, society and practice to discuss key issues of health and innovation.

At Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, research is being conducted from various disciplinary perspectives on key issues of medicine and health of the future. At the same time, programmes for students and employees address the topic of health and create additional access points. This page brings together and publicises activities and events relating to the topic of "Medicine of the Future". It invites you to discover perspectives, attend events and enter into dialogue with one another.
